This book was published on the occasion of Donald Judd: Paintings at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Miami. Curated by ICA Miami director Ellen Salpeter, the exhibition was the first museum presentation dedicated to fourteen rarely exhibited paintings by Judd, created between 1959 and 1961, when the artist was developing his ideas about color and space and exploring the limitations of the flat plane.
